Anyone know any history behind the Lemon Drop anemone? Does anyone know where the first ones or one came from? Are they just morphs of the sunburst?

Anyone know the difference between a sunburst and a lemon drop? Can a sunburst morph into a lemon drop (more yellow color) from higher kelvin led lighting?

Ok last question ......does anyone have a unsaturated picture of a sunburst next to a lemon drop?

Are you talking about zoas, or anemones? (( you posted this in the clown/anemone section )). IF you are truly referring to zoas, I will move this thread.

Really no one knows about lemon drop anemones? Im serious here, and I promise im not just a delirious poster. Im in Colorado and I own a sunburst of my own so I know what they look like. Im trying to figure some info out because as you would guess our local denver colorado reef club has many, many battles of what is and isnt a sunburst. And now.......what is a sunburst and what is a lemon drop.

Here is my guaranteed true blue Colorado Sunburst nem from Ki himself

To me, they are all just color morphs of E. quadricolor. ;)

I could be wrong but I thought the Colorado Sunburst has red in it or at least most anemones I've seen labeled as "sunburst" and the lemon drop is only yellow with some green.

Lol lighting is a tricky thing when shooting under leds with a cell phone. Most sunbursts have green bases, orange tentacles with yellow tips, no red what so ever unlessnit morphed or shared algae with a rose (red) bta

These pics help lol

I'm only going by pictures but my point was that all the lemon drops I've seen are mostly yellow with some green and the sunburst morphs are yellow then into orang or red and then into green
