I went out of town for the weekend and come back and found my anemone with these on/in it's bulbs. My clowns have been acting like they were getting ready to spawn. Are the clown eggs? Anemone eggs? Something else?

I was told they wouldn't lay inside the anemone but maybe if it was their first time they haven't figured it all out yet. I have no clue though just speculating.

Whatever it is, I hope it is not bad...lol. This BTA is just finally healing up from a terrorizing pair of Skunk cleaners I had to pull out of the tank and some VERY aggressive initial love from my clowns.

What happened next is a hermit crab crawled all around the edge of my nem during feeding, ticked it off, and she went 80% closed much to my clowns chagrin...haha

Interesting, do you have another bta to fertilize the eggs? I read that sexual reproduction is really rare so your tank must be in great condition!

Unfortunately, I don't have another bta. I am actually looking for another, but have not found the right one yet. It would be really cool if I could actually get a pair to spawn. As far as tank condition, thanks. I do the best I can to keep everything healthy.

I read that when they spawn it can crash a tank, as it gets so murky...

I think that's just when the sperm is released, there's a video of it on YouTube, it looks like the nem is smoking so it clouds the water. Kinda cool and really gross.

Ok, well I don't have a male to release sperm so hopefully the tank will be OK.

Not about the anemone but that clown is beautiful.
Thanks!

Yes. They are inside the tentacles.
