Hey guys, I bought two clownfish that I was told were called "Buckshot" clownfish... I still consider myself a newbie so I just needed some more experienced opinions. This past weekend I unfortunately lost one of my beautiful clowns. :( They always swam within an inch of either so I was really upset to find that this happened. I would like to purchase another to go with my remaining one but I am searching for a cheaper place to buy than where I originally bought my pair. Unfortunately when I search the internet for these clowns I am unable to find a place that has one matching what mine look like and I do not want to get one that does not mix with my existing clown. If you guys could point me in the right direction that would be fantastic! I have a couple pics attached of the Buckshot I have left.

Yours looks more like a blackerice to me. I'm not very knowledgable on the designer clowns though.
As far as mixing them I don't think you should have any problems.

Thanks guys! As I searched, I suspected blacker ice as well. Maybe I can find out more from the store I bought them at. I just feel awkward letting them know I'm trying to find them somewhere else! Haha. I have had these for at least 6 months if not a little longer and when we asked him to price us another today he said $200 for one. I don't doubt that these guys are worth that honestly and I'm not totally against paying that for their beauty but it's hard to rationalize paying $200 for one when I paid $300 for the pair less than a year ago!

If I found a different designer clown that was an Ocellaris too then they would do fine together, correct?

As long as you don't have 2 females, it should be fine.

here are my mixed two... I had the little one for a year, and just added the snowflake(?) one a few days ago.. they are the best of friends in the tank.

Beautiful! I came across the frostbite and am considering one of those to mix with mine.

Just added this beauty in with my "buckshot." I'm pretty happy with how they look together. Just hope that they pair up!
