Found a Blue S. Gigantea today!

I didn't have my phone so I was unable to get phone pics of initial purchase and acclimation, but I have a screen shot of my cam. Will update better pics soon. Yes I know, he looks purple and he's bleached. I did not have to treat this one, but I normally would. This one was fully inflated with tight mouth and very sticky. I'm hoping he'll acclimate to the DT well. It's usually not this easy, so I'm expecting deflation is coming. I'll keep you guys updated.

Went to a LFS and saw him in a tank in the very back corner.

Had to have him. Was in great condition. Fully inflated, tight mouth, and very sticky.

I would have bought him in almost any condition because they're so rare.

I made that one out of acrylic with bird netting on the front.

Drilled the holes with plastic drill bit.

I've been wanting to design something really cool that's light weight and easy to use and clean.

Wish I could patent one because there are none on the market.

Trying to make one that not only looks decent, but is 100% nem proof and doesn't starve the pump.

I was going to use this stainless steel epoxy coated wire, but ended up changing my mind due to contamination issues on the long term.

Right now I'm looking at plastic basket strainers and how I can convert them into something really cool.
