I'm looking to buy a used apex and one that I'm looking at is about 3 years old. Any difference between that model and a new one?

Not that I am aware of. You will just want to upgrade to the latest firmware.

Also, you could check over on the neptune boards. They may have more detailed information. However, I'm pretty sure the base unit has stayed the same, they just are adding modules to upgrade their range of services.

If this is incorrect, please feel free to fill in my blanks! Thanks! :)

I don't mind if the thing is 1 year old but 3 years old? I feel a bit nervous but I could be wrong there :)
