I happen to love my diamond goby, even if he and my pistol shrimp pair up to relocate the entire sandbed on a daily basis.

I also have a diamond goby. More like an excavator than a sand sifter. :)

Sounds just like mine. Between him and his pistol shrimp buddy they basically move all the sane from one side of the tank to the other on a daily basis.

I love the diamond goby but have lost 3 due to rock crushing suicide. I now have a sifting star and he does a great job without undermining the rocks.

Sorry to hear that. Do you put your rocks on top of the sand? Or on the bottom and fill the sand around them?

We used to have a handful of twin spot gobies in a big tank in the office. Was super cool watching them buzz around and do their thing.

Dragon Sleeper Gobies, but the sift so much and swim around middle of water column that they spread too much sand debris all over the tank ( only down fall if your water flow is strong), they also eat anything besides what they sift for.
