What happened to all the blue squamosa's? I got out of the hobby a couple years ago and came back in last Dec. I remember drooling over the blue Squammies last year or two ago and now they are gone. Anyone know what happened to them?

Thats sux. I have an 11" dersa thats blue on the out side of the mantel and several her colors twards the center. I also have 9" Squamosa thats got more green in it. But My 6" Crocea is solid navy blue But he is done growing. The my little maxima is very blue but he is only 3" All of these clams are in the same tank and all have been grown from 2-3" to what they are in the same tank. Let me tell you I go through some alk and cal.

Sounds like a sweet collection, I'd love to see some pic's!

BTW did anyone see the turquoise Squamosa that sold in the Divers Den last week? It was insane! There was a nice black with blue spot Squammie that sold yesterday too.

Sorry for the crappy pics. I have a nice SLR but I dont know how to use it yet. I have 5 reef tanks and this one is a 93g cube. I wont put anything else in the tank to make sure I dont get any pests in the tank that could hurt my clams

I figure if they make it past 14 days the problem was in my tank... They are right around 3" so hopefully they should be a bit tougher than the really small ones they sell from time to time.

Here the turq squamosa is the same day I got him. He is open up even more now. I am curious what his colors end up doing. Just iphone with the blue LED off so not a great representation.
