Hi, was wandering if anyone knew any info on this hybrid, like its max size or general care. I got it about a week ago, and so far is doing great, its about 3 1/2 inches. And by far the best looking clam ive ever had. Oh and i got it from cornbred corals

I personally don't believe they are actual hybrids. I'd just give it the same care requirements as any other Squamosa clam. I'd love to see pic's though!

I remember when CB had it listed. Called it a Mamosa as I recall. Nice. Should be for that price.

Whether its a true hybrid or not, it sure has equal features of both maxima and squamosa, and has color like no other

I'd say it's a hybrid. Can't prove it one way or the other without looking at DNA.

Amazing clam, I purchased a similar clam from LiveAquaria and it was just listed as an ultra squamosa. Good luck. Beautiful clam.

Be interesting to see some genetic testing on these guys. I wonder how they are bred, if it's possible they are a different species.
