Yesterday I bought my first maxima clam and I guess it has already stuck itself onto the clam holder that they put it on. Is there any way that I can remove it off the holder and place it somewhere else in the tank. Thanks

Yes but it is slow going, like many options for getting clams off it's base. The byssal threads holding onto the surface need to be severed, as close to the surface as possible. Slowly but surely you can roll the clam to one side, and get at the threads. Using a razor cut it, saving as much of the thread as possible. DO NOT force the roll too much. You do not want to literally rip the threads out of the clam. That could be fatal.

Another option is to simply put the clam in an unfavorable spot and hope it will simply let go of the structure to "walk" away to a better spot. ;)
