My 93 cube build is moving along and I am thinking about fish selection.
What are some good choices for a tank of this size?
The tank will be sps dominated with some lps and a few zoas and palys mixed in.

I want happy and health fish. I know this 93 gal limits the choices so I am asking all you cube guys ( and girls ) what you have in your tanks.

I'm going to get a few of those anthias. How many times a day do you feed them?

I just got them the other day. I'm feeding them 3 times per day. Once in the morning before work, once when I get home, and once before bed.
I'm using Rod's Food Original Blend and they ate it the first day they were in the tank. Good stuff.

I might get a yellow tang or a sail fin. I was wondering if a small sail fin would be OK.
I had a yellow tang in my 60 hex. Don't tell the tang police. He did very well. I had about 90 pounds of rock with plenty of space to hide if he wanted, but he was always out picking at the rock. He would eat just about any food I put in.

I wouldn't go with a sailfin, I'd stick with a yellow or a bristle tooth like a kole.

OK no on the sail fin. What are some of the reasons not to get one? I'm not afraid to admit I don't know much about these fish.

They just need a bigger tank than a 93. I'm not of the belief that I will buy a small fish and catch it when it gets too big for my tank. I want my tank to be a permenant home for all of the inhabitants.

The reason for no sailfins is that they just get too darned BIG.

Always do your research before purchase of any animal ;)

How are the foxface and the angel doing? Do you have much coral? I love these fish but been really hesitant because I like my coral more

I have a 93 cube as well. Not sure if it is the same with all Midas and Kole Tangs but both of mine were jerks. I got rid of them both and now I have a happy tank again. The kole bullied my watchmans to the point it took one of the watchmans eyes out now it only has one. The midas would bully my cardinal and it stayed in a hole in the back of the tank. Now that they are gone all of my fish are swimming out in the open and not hiding.

Basically, they get larger than a dinner plate. Stick with the Kole. Even the yellow is too big for a 93 cube imo, but a Kole or a Tomini would thrive in there.

I agree 100%
I'm still 2 months away from the purchase of any livestock. I don't want to tear the tank apart to get any livestock out that might have been a mistake. That's why I'm asking questions now. I love my corals and have never focused much on fish. Plenty of time to research.
