Hello all. Had this posted in the meet and greet section and wasn't aware there was a cube section, sweet.

This is an older pic but you get the idea. Setup as a minimalist style, no upper cabinet and as low as possible so can be viewed from above. No cross bracing. It sits in its own room with just two chairs for viewing and antique dry-sink retrofitted as a real sink and fill station, connected to a pump in the basement and water making area. Sump under the tank. Been up since Feb. Questions and comments please. Look forward to chatting and most of all learning.

Rick

Okay that's all I got, lol. Fire away with questions, criticism, concerns, etc etc. Havent added much in last few months. The copperband, longnose butterfly and the pink scoli are the only additions in the last couple months. Just been maintaining. Do a 70gal water change every 14-21 days, top off with RO every day about 4 gallons. Two part dose with BRS daily, that is very easy and inexpensive for my big tank.

Totally awesome!! I love that rack for the lights!!

Thanks. That was by far the most difficult. Used 1"x3" aluminum tubing welded together at the intersections. Then drilled a 2.5" hole in two of the four intersections for the wiring. You can only see about 1.5" of cord at each light going into the tubing. Snaking all those cables through and out the holes was a pain, but was worth it. Also had to use different length spacers to get all the lights on the same plane as the tubing is stacked two on top of two. Everything is hung by two plastic sheethed steel cables that are attached too the ceiling joists. I also had to extend every single one of the electrical cords for the LEDs to reach that high. That was as painstaking as the wire snaking. Each one had to be soldered, with each light having two cords each for blue and white as they are separately adjustable per each light, and tested before hanging. Took two guys holding it, while two guys attached the steel cables in the attic. I have each color on its own timer. The frame is also wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl for a nice finish. The "legs" holding the light from the ceiling is just PVC sleeves wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl too. They just cover the wiring and cables, but go through the drywall ceiling into the attic. Everything is black or carbon with no wires showing. Will be labor intensive when a light goes out if it cannot be serviced where it is.
