Savvy 185G build comming soon :)
What happens when you cut power or lose power? The locline will set the drain height, correct? Meaning the entire contents drain down to the level of the locline. Unless that is a closed loop and you are running your skimmer from some other piping.

120g GC Starphire - SRO 2000 w/ neck cleaner - Apex - 3 MP40s - Radions - in the works!
yeah, you are going to need to raise the returns up higher or you'll flood your sump down to the LOWEST return pipe. Also before it is mentioned, don't rely on a check valve please. I had one fail and almost led to disaster when the power went out one day. I learned my lesson, but I wasn't looking at draining as much as you will
I like the stand and tank, it looks really nice. Also the overflow should be easy to cover with smaller rocks.

Fargo Frag Swap is now on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/FargoFragSwap
Fargo Frag Swap 2013 was a success! Stay tuned for the Fargo Frag Swap and Marine Expo in 2014!
I'm using two clear swing valves in case one fails & will have a battery backup on the return pump.

I don't see the swing valve, where is it located? I agree with Ronnie, your playing with fire if you don't have it setup for all four returns to shut completely during a outage. Or at least raise your returns closer to the top of the tank pointing downwards. That's what I have for me current setup *raised returns* so it won't drain my tank completely. I'm not fond of filter socks as well, they clog to easily but at least you have it pretty low so when it does it stays in the sump...I like the splash gaurd over it as well.

Yep.
i'd raise them with PVC and then build a nice center overflow box to hide them made of rock. (probably already doing this to cover up the drain)

Do you have a emergency drain just in case?
added a 12x24x16 refugium (6500k) and 12x12x16 water reservoir (w/JBJ ATO)
added quad Maxspect Mazarra
Livestock pics coming soon
Now were talking. Tell me about that drain/maggie muffler. I am starting a 36x36x27 cube build today. Started the stand today should be finished by friday. Tagging along on this one.
Super unique, I love it.
90 gallon Reef: 72 3w dimmable LEDs + 2 T5s, Apex, Cone skimmer.
I Love the dimensions...but I agree that is a disaster waiting to happen depending on swing valves......I always look at it as if it will go wrong it is only a matter of time before it happens.
40 breeder with 40 breeder sump/fuge
That looks really nice! Hope to see the aquascape your'e making in this tank!![]()
what happens if ur return pump fails

Nice looking tank and lights
I like the dimensions.. Any progress lately?
Tank looks great. Do you have any updated pics?
