I have available to me Acrylite GP acrylic. 1/2 in thick

I have already cut all the pieces to build the tank. I have a full piece cut for the top. Though I am not quite sure if I am going to use the whole thing or just trim it out. With a center brace as well.

Liking the ghost overflow just not sure when it going to or if it's going to available on the market.

This thread might take some time as I travel with my job quite a bit. And I don't want to rush this build. It may not be perfect. But I want it as perfect for me.

Any ideas. Comments. Arguments. Lol. Will be greatly taken.

I practiced building a sump that is working flawlessly. I am attaching a pic.

Use fresh solvent, and do a strength test before you go at it. The "Ghost" overflow can be built, no need to order one up from someone who is having trouble bringing one to market. I have been building them for 8+ years. Best of luck, J

So I travel quite a bit with my job. All over the easy coast and as far west as Denver so far. Been thinking about the tank quite a bit. Currently I am thinking of a stand. Different ideas in my head for construction. Right now it's a 1 x 1 base. With 2 x 4 studs and frame for the top. Along with 1/2 in paint grade plywood.

The next step for the tank is to make a router table to clean up all the saw marks from the cutting. And a few jigs to be able to start welding. Should be back in two weeks today be tinker with some of this stuff.

Hey everyone watching. Today I was able to get a few things done on the stand. All it needs is front trim. 3 doors and two removable panels.

Going to taking this and all the tank and sump parts home so that I can start to build everything.

Next up is to build a custom router table. Then off to the races with this tank. I hope to have it built hopefully by Christmas. As the wife has mention Christmas coming.

Gotta love her.

Ps if anyone has a spare return pump that I might buy to simply push water for the cycle. Let me know.

Following along, have a 180g glass build going now in the garage. Been thinking of doing this for a tank in the house.

one question is that plywood for the support legs? If so is that really going to hold 2000 lbs?

Hello all. An update. This is taking some time. But I honestly just want to build it right. Got the stand built. Working on trim and doors. The sump is built and ready for water. I only need to add a piece of acrylic at the top to hold the over flow pipes. I got bulkheads. But I am not quite sure I am going to use them. Also. I started the tank build. Welded the first piece on this morning.

Here is another. Got the top cut out and it's in place waiting on the Weldon to dry.

I am not sure what kinda bracing it is. But it's on solid sheet. Routed to fit. With pretty large access holes. In time I may want to make lids. Just not sure. There will be a canopy. In time. But for now this is where it sits. Next up. Ghost over flow. And water testing the tank.

The seams all look pretty good I used the pin method. And am going to back it up with Weldon 16. Just for extra precaution.
