need help with what kind of micron filter bag sock u use

im serching for a 100 micron sock online
and i see that there is so many kineds
pp, pe , Felt Cloth , polyester, and more
what r u guys using ?
and whats the best that i can wash in the washing machine

Felt here as well. I get mine from filterbag.com. They recommend the PONG100P4P for aquariums. It is a 100 micron 4" felt sock with the plastic ring. If you don't want the plastic ring they have drawstring as well. Minimum order is 25 but you'll use them all. This is the best price I've found on them.

Go with the felt, I went with the polyester mesh 100 micron sock and I stopped using it because I would have to change it every 2 days. When I did wash I did the above, washed with no soap and water. Sometimes I would add a little vinegar to the wash.

Nope, not necessary at all. Some people like them, some hate them. If you don't change regularly they can become a nitrate trap.
