I would like to upgrade my return pump on my nuvo 38 (476 GPS) but just cannot decide. I'm strongly considering an eheim but I'm not even sure which model is best for my setup. I'm hoping to decrease the tank temperature as well as cut down on noise. Are there other benefits to changing the stock pump. I'm at wits end and can use some advice.

I would get the eheim compact+ 2000 (528 GPH) or Sicce Syncra Silent 2.0 Pump (568 GPH) both are great pumps. The sicce comes with a better warranty of 5 years.

I have and do own and use both types on a regular basis. Both of them are adjustable. I had a sicce 2.0 laying around. Here is a picture of the adjustment knobs.

The Sicce line was my other consideration, and with your help I think I'm going with the Sicce 2.0. Thanks for taking the time to submit photos.
