I saw and read the sticky on t5 bulbs on the forum, but was kind of speaking in a foreign language to me tho. However being a noob to the saltwater world, I am still learning. I have a 55 gal with a 4 bulb t5 setup. I have 2 - 54W Actinic bulbs, 1 - 54W 10000K and 1 - 54W Purple bulb on it. Here is my question. I have set a reef tank with some LPS, anemone, soft corals, polyps and some mushrooms.

Are the lights that I have on here sufficient enough for my tank or should I change the purple out. I was told that the purple is not really beneficial for my tank and should change it out for a 50/50 bulb (not quite sure which one that is) or add another blue light.

What do yall think?

You can certainly sustain those types of critters with your light, but it's all in the bulbs. I personally recommend ATI bulbs and if it was my setup I would do 3 ATI Blue Plus, and 1 ATI Purple Plus.
