mp 10 w es sticking on glass?

Just picked up a MP10wes.Tried to put the mp 10wes on the back of the tank.Do they stick to a painted surface.It dont want to stay there,i had a Koralia back there no problem.

Did you adjust the spacer for the thickness of your glass? It's magnetic, so there should be no issue with the glass being painted.

Kinda a side question, but is anybody else having issues with the dry side going bad? Im on my second dry side and its acting up again with a loud sqeeling noise, bearing going out again I think

As far as the thickness,my tank is 3/16 ths and it says to use the spacer.It dont matter with or with out spacer.

the lining up is really the trickiest, but most essential, part. Once you get them lined up you'll be good to go, as it sounds like you are. Have fun with it, they're awesome pumps!

You can't adjust the spacer on the MP10s, only the MP20s and up.

Sounds like it. If it is still under warranty, they will replace it. I just did that with one of mine. They will also allow you to purchase a dry side and send back your old one for a credit so that you aren't without a pump.

If it is not under warranty, you can either purchase a new dry side (around $100) or, if you are somewhat handy, you can replace the bearings yourself.

Also, double check that the wet side and dry side are still lined up correctly.
