The reason for this thread is because this is not the type of coral i sell but they were so beautiful when i saw them I thought i would check with the community to see if this is something ya'll would be interested in. I have the ability to pick up quite a bit of these but they are a bit pricy and I don’t want to be stuck with them.
They are a FlL Ricordia as you can see however the coloration is not what i would consider "standard" by any means. The rims are a neon green followed by bright orange with a VERY bright and deep bluish purple disk that leads all the way into a neon green mouth. Some of them even have metallic red disk base. more pics will come of course if i make the purchase. these are very healthy 3rd generation aqua cultured polyps so they hold there color great in captivity
I took this picture today of one that i purchased for myself last week. | Very nice Ricordeas!! are you sure they are from Florida? they look Haitian to me, I have several colonys of it and the reason why i'm saying that is because of the coloration pattern and the fact that they are attached to a rock, if they were from florida they would not have the rock attached to it like in the picture above, JMO. |

you could very well be right about that. i was just using that as more of a generic term for this type of ric. Most of the ones that i saw were all on plugs with very tiny peices of rock so I dont really know. My guess is you would know better then me since you deal with all types of coral and i normaly dont sell things like this. i'll just call them ricordia just in case it matters to someone
