| Acan receding This is the only acan I am having problems with and I was wondering what I could do to keep it from receding anymore. I'm sure its not water parameters as all other coral in the tank is fine. Maybe dipping it? With what? Thanks guys! |

| I have been having problems with my acans. I have lost 4 large colonies and been reading up about a problem alot of people had about a year ago with aussie acans coming in with something that caused them to melt away. I treated mine with Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure prior to putting them in my display, it did not help. I have read about people treating there tanks with Interceptor (red bugs meds), then dipping in Revive/Iodine dip. I just got done doing an Interceptor treatment and will have to wait and see. Make sure that you feed them at least once a week as well. |

| +1 on the interceptor there appears to be a bug that only eats acans

| I was forced to treat my entire system with Interceptor. It has worked so far. This is definitely a reminder to quarantine. I lost numerous acans, and even more chalice. |

| Here is a REALLY close up pic of a spider that was found at one of my local LFS's a while back. They seems to only bother the acans...they are virtually clear, and when hiding, are balled up no larger than 1/16"....very hard to spot.

| Is that different from the mini bristle starfish that are found in aquariums? They are a little smaller than a dime, with black and white bands. They look like a shrunken starfish. Thanks for posting the photo. |

| I have a micromussa that keeps receding. Its the only micro and/or acan that is having the problem.
I've dipped it in Furan2 along with a frag i got that had zoapox and it seems to have stopped. It then reoccured on 1 polyp about 3 weeks ago so i did another furan2 dip and the receding again stopped and the coral looks to be healing and still growing new polyps today. |

| All of my incoming corals (almost all are Aussie LPS) are now treated for a minimum of 6 hours in Interceptor. They actually seem to like it. I had the receding/dying problem with acans and chalice a few months back. Knock on wood, I seem to have stopped it with Interceptor. |

| I swear there an article in regards to this but it delt with water parameters. Especially looking at magnesium. Just wondering if everyone checked what the magnesium levels are at. I know alot LFS do the regular Alk/CAl/salinity testing and thats about it but no mag tests. |
