Well, here we are... I finally succumb to a much needed tank upgrade... I purchased a system from a local reefer yesterday... I have been playing around with the tank upgrade for more than a year... I'm glad I finally did... Pls join me on this journey...

** Lighting -- (6) 48" T5 Retros... middle 4 bulbs are overdriven w/ IceCap ballast; 2 outside bulbs are normal output
** Skimmer -- MSX 200, to be upgraded to Alpha 200
** Controller -- Reef Keeper Elite
** Auto Top Off -- Tunze Osmolator
** Flow -- Vortech MP 40, still deciding if I want another MP 40

- ATI Blue + (normal)
- KZ Fiji Purple (overdriven)
- 22k AquaScience (overdriven)

Most Current FTS: 11-30-09, full lighting...

11-01-09, just (2) Blue+ are on for the pics... much props to my bro (Mabisyo) for helping out...

Liking these corals atm...

Rainbow Wellso 1

Rainbow Wellso 2

Raging Rivers

Aussie Scolly family

*** A huge shout out to JuniorMC8704 and Poseidon for helping me out with this tank... without the two of them, it would've never been up the same day... we literally picked up the tank in the morning and by 6pm, it was running with water... we had a great time but unfortunately, I didn't have a camera handy to document the set up... Thanks again guys... it's much appreciated...

Thanks... tank dimensions are (48" x 24" x 22")...

yes, I'll be breaking down my 2 smaller tanks and consolidating into one... hopefully, this will make life a little more simple since we are expecting our 2nd child in October... I thought I'd rather do the upgrade now while we have a little more time...

hey guys, pichers posted... just water right now... I did put the LR tonight... there was about 60-70lbs... I think I should have enough LR when I move the contents of the 28g JBJ... btw, pics are of the regular output T5's and are actinics only... lastly, I'm just waiting for the coraline algae to get softer, then I'll scrape off the back glass... the goal is to keep it black all the time.. no coraline build up...
