So happy!! I have had my clowns for 14 months they were 3 months when I bought them so they are almost 1.5 years old. Booyahs reef clowns (Thanks Mitch!!). This is their first clutch. I count 124 eggs. I plan on raising them after the first few clutches. WOO!!!
Anyone had this combo spawn before? Or two snowflakes spawn?

Rumors are they will be all normal barred offspring, others say yeild will be mostly "ultra grade barring" but idk! Love for some experienced breeders to chime in.

It may very well have been 133, there were many yellow shadows from the eggs and I tried to count conservatively, here's a new picture day 2. I count 120 this time. Maybe I can have someone double check lol.
Thanks Rev!

Thanks!! Anyone raise the offspring from a snowflake/snowflake combo? Curious to the % of normal barred vs. Premium barred vs all whites? Experienced folks chime in please. I have tons of literature, Wilkerson, Moe jr. I understand the principals just interested in genetics!!

They were busy while I was at work down to 73 eggs dang. From my research this is normal? Lol. I have been making sure I feed them as often as possible making sure they eat until they are full, NLS one pellet at a time as to not pollute the water. I don't expect any to make it.

Very cool. From what I've heard the first few clutches don't normally yield a lot of fry. The clowns will clean and pick off the dead ones too. I'm sure if you give them a few tries you will see more and more make it. That will also give you time to set up everything to raise them.

Right on! Well here's a new pic, day 3 morning. I count 63 eggs. I am very excited at the timing of this. The Marine Breeders Conference will be held on July 19th. Cool opportunity.
When my clowns lay clutch # 2 I will start to get equipment together for raising them.

Night of day 4. Big change in color over the last 12 hours. Cool stuff. Still 43 eggs that's interesting, every time I have checked the amount of eggs has been decreasing until today, will post update tomorrow morning .

I am beginning to gather supplies, I'm thinking that spawn 2 I will attempt to raise some. What a huge difference between day 3 and 5!!! I can see the larvae developing, morning day 5 I'm down to 34 eggs. I expect that number to continue to decrease, and I can see 4 eggs that aren't developing like the rest.
