Just curious if anyone out there is breeding (...or attempting to breed) anything other than clownfish? Not knocking breeding clowns, breeding anything is AWESOME! Just wondering what kind of projects everyone's got going on.

I know there are lots of fish that are successfully being propagated in our hobby now a days. I just don't know who is and what exactly.

All of my paired fish are spawning but I don't raise them any longer and it would be a horror to catch them in a 100 gallon tank. Currently my breeding fish are mandarins, clown gobi's, fire clowns, bangai cardinals, blue stripe pipefish, and threadfin cardinals. I was spawning watchman gobies but after 12 years, they died.
These octopus spawned in a small tank

These fireclowns spawn all the time, the larger one is about 23 years old

These guys spawned for 7 years in the 70s

Blue devil eggs

These guys are spawning

You can see the eggs between them

Almost born clown gobi

Pregnant mandarin

Pregnant blue stripe pipefish

Watchman gobi with her eggs. Is that enough? :hat:

Paul B that is impressive! All that breeding in one tank! A sure sign of great husbandry and WQ no doubt!

And ReefFrenzy heard about the masked angelfish a little while back and it is just incredible. Also picked up Fish Frenzy last week and my fish and I thank you. What an awesome product!

Haha that's pretty cool Paul! Have you ever had anything make it past the filtration and feeding frenzy?

There is no filtration except the reverse UG filter. Oh I forgot the skimmer. No, Nothing ever grew up in the tank fish wise. I used to raise some fish years ago but it requires a lot of work and you have to be there every day. I am out or away a lot so I can't care for baby fish any more. The tank itself is hard enough while I am not home. They are easy to raise, you just need to be there

Bangai cardinals, clowns and seahorses besides some local fish I collected and of course plenty of fresh water fish

Here in a partitioned part of my reef are some seahorses that I collected here in NY. The female is transferring eggs to the males pouch. I raised these to adulthood.
