Golden Rainbow Wrasse, Yellow, Canary, Yellow Coris / Halichoeres chrysus

    SCIENTIFIC NAME - Halichoeres chrysus

COMMON NAME – Yellow, Canary, Golden Rainbow Wrasse, Yellow Coris

    SIZE – 5 in (13 cm)

    MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE – 50 gal (189 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Should be fed a variety of high quality marine meaty foods. Will also eat other crustaceans.

REEF COMPATIBILITY – With caution, may eat ornamental shrimp

CAPTIVE CARE – This is a peaceful fish that does best with other peaceful fish. It can be kept with other wrasses. It requires a 3 inch sand bed to hide in when frightened and to sleep in at night. It will eat fireworms and pyramidellid snails, along with feather dusters, small ornamental shrimp, tubeworms and flatworms. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.

5 Gallon Bucket with viewable top. Air pump with air stone. Large window for light. Established for 6 years! Huge mother colonies and over-all a great looking reef... never been happier.
