It looks like something has chewed on my goby face. Found him like this today, he is no longer in the burrow with the candy cane pistol shrimp. His other tank mates are 2 cleaner shrimp, a royal gramma, occ clown, clown goby, two spot blenny and various hermit crabs and snails<br />

Is he able to eat? You may want to isolate him so he can possibly heal.

I'm not sure if he can eat. I couldn't get him to eat yesterday, but he seemed pretty stressed. Not sure how long he has been like this, yesterday was the first time l seen him in 3 days. I don't have another tank right now but maybe I could put him in the back chamber of my biocube so nothing bothers him

That is fairly common and I have seen it a few times. A fish has food in it's mouth and another fish comes over and tears his face off. I saw that happen to my hippo tang. Another fish ripped off his face as he had a worm in his mouth.

Geez!!!! What was the outcome Paul? Does this fish have a chance to survive?

The outcome is a fish that can't eat. If that fish can eat, it may recover. Mine didn't have any jaw left even though he tried to eat, he couldn't so he died.

If he cannot eat best to catch him and put him down. It's a sad thing to watch a fish die like that and he will suffer while he is dieing.
