Lfs told me he ordered a queen when I purchased this little beauty for $25.00 he thought it was a blue. Can any experts out their give an opinion? Sorry for crap camera in advance.

Well that might just really upset him. That's why I'm asking. He swore it was a blue but I'm not sure either way

I've had him/her for almost 6months. It was tiny when I got it. Waiting patiently to grow up to see what it shall be. In the meentime figured maybe you guys could lend your opinions.

It is really hard to tell but the new pictures look like a queen. The Queens are better looking IMO. Maybe someone else can chime in as well.

I know! Curiousity has been driving me nuts so I finally figured I'd put upnon here for others to see what they thought. And I agree with you, for what I payed I won't be upset either way though. It's been an awesome tank mate with great personality

My $ is on H. bermudensis (Blue Angel). Both have curved vertical stripes as juvis, the stripe to really look for (IME) is the tall middle stripe. As mentioned the stripe on queen's is more curved, like a "U" on it's side. The second set of pics (younger fish) is what makes me lean towards blue angel, as that middle stripe is very straight.

With that said these fish can be very tough to ID, and there's a crazy amount of hybridization that occurs between these two species. Either way you have a killer fish :D
