I recently noticed an odd behavior in my cardinalfish hiding under my hammer coral and not eating during feeding times.
Today i noticed what looked like little silver balls in the cardinals mouth.
Did some reasearch and found that they are carry the eggs in there mouth unil they are hatched and slighty grown. Note i am not trying to breed my cardinalfish on purpose this just happened.
When i returned home from work i noticed what looked to be whiskers sticking out of the cardinalfish mouth i watched for awhile with the camera on my phone at the ready for a good picture..
This is some of what i got.. 1 baby so far will update photos and progress for those interested. I have my cardinal seperated from tank mates to ensure a chance of survival the fry i plan to grow out in my refugium where i grow my pods.
