Just letting everyone know that after bio-pellets, carbon dosing (vinegar, vodka, nopox) and not having the (significant) desired results of reducing nitrates, I implemented a sulfur denitrator.
currently it has been running a wk and is creating nitrate free water.. However, I have another 4 wks to wait for it to build up significant bacteria before I can open the effluent valve more than 1 drip per second.
I will keep you appraised of my journey

Lee what are the possible downsides of using this type of reactor as opposed to say a pellet reactor or other carbon dosing? This could be a great topic for a meeting sometime.
