Hey Guys,

Is $60 a head for an aussie gold torch a good deal? I am not dying for one but if its something I should jump on due to "rarity" can you guys let me know?

Thanks,

it all depends on your area as well. different prices for different stats in the USA. just do some home work before you purchase anything from anywhere.

but yes that 60$ is fine.

I usually see about $100 online. I just saw one on Coral Gardens Aquaculture for something like $60 and thought it was a good deal. I say go for it.

I bought my three head Aussie gold torch for $45 last year, not a LFS but a local guy that gets his stuff from a distributor.

As was said the area of country you are in dictates price. I see a large difference in price on here. I am guessing like everything the quality of the piece. The color will also tell the price. I have seen some torches labeled aussie gold, but do not have the same coloring. I paid $50 a head on sale here in central Florida. Mine looks like gold electricity, almost metallic, is running through the tentacles. The gold changes depending on the sway of the tentacles. It is highlighted by the light. I see others that are not metallic but a solid coloring.

I saw a Gold Torch Colony at least 10 heads last weekend in LFS (3x5 inches) price $95 If anyone living in Southern California then should pay a visit to Seaside Tropical Fish Store in Huntington Beach, sometime they have amazing look colony for some corals with darn cheap price! (Talk to David the store owner, you can get some sweet discount).
Edit:
I didn't notice this thread is 3 years old....
