Heyy what's up r2r! Im new here so not sure if this is the right place for the question but I bought my first torch coral 2 months and 16 days ago to be exact (I record all my info on aquarimate great app btw). My question is why does it look so different and is it normal or okay?

Here's when I first bought it:

And this is now:

I originally had it in a medium-high flow area with medium-high lighting but now I have it lower to a light-medium flow area with low-medium light. Not that it's a major problem but I want to make sure it's okay

I have 2 full spectrum LED lights and 2 hydor korilla 600gph RC backpack skimmer, and two little fishies phosban reactor 150, sumped with dry rock. Tank is 40g long

Parameters are:

Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 0ppm
Phosphates: 0ppm
PH: 8.2
Calcium: 420ppm
Salinity: 1.025
Temperature: 76@night 78@day

How much flow is it in, and what kinds of corals are doing well at the same level in your tank? I.e, if you look where your torch is, and imagine that as the bottom of the tank, what else is on the same height?

As for the bleaching you should be able to tell if the polyp color looks lighter. In your recent pix it looks like a light pink. The pix when first obtained it. It has a healthy dark purplish color. Sometimes pix can be mis-leading due to lighting, angles or flash. If it is bleached it can be returned to original health but it takes time and you will need to adjust its position in tank.
