The radion nano is on my radar to evaluate along with some others.

I'm looking for some proof that acans, and specifically rainbows (3,4,5 + colors) are able to sustain their color under LEDs, and not "orange or red-out."

Please post your pics/proof, opinions, and the LED light you're using that's getting you the results.

... what's a post without a pic nowadays?

Following. I'm adding T5s to my lighting right now for this problem.

I used to run radion g1's on my 180 and they always turned my acans a yellowish orange. I switched to mh and within a few hours they all had their original color return. I kid you not it was literally that quick.

I just switched from mh/t5 to radion g1 and I'm pretty sure I can already see my rainbow acans loosing color but my sps is coloring up better then with my mh/t5. I plan to upgrade them to g3 pros so that may help.

I'll post the same acans in a couple weeks to see if there is a change.

Keep em coming. Give me hope that I can go led.

This guy started as 1 head and has been under DIY leds keeping its color nicely. The one behind it also started as one head. Its starting to get nice red vanes in the mouth area.

Maybe until the spectrum burns out of the mh bulb. Blues are first to go. If you keep fresh bulbs in all the time they look nice. Just not cost effective for me anymore. If someone wants to buy a mh setup I have one for sale. It's posted in a selling thread here.

custom mix of leds... royal blues, blues, hyper violets, cool whites, and warm whites, all very dim (about 1/3 power), with no optics, plus a blue reefbrite bar. this photo taken under the reefbrite bar only.

Is it a diy setup, or is it a market fixture?
