Any suggestions, I bought a Toxic Hammer frag a few weeks ago and it was doing great until it was knocked over. Since then I reset and glued to live rock it does not want to open. I tried feeding. Is this just a waiting game? :squigglemouth:

How far was the fall? Where did it land on rocks or sand? How long was it unseated? In most cases they have no issues, unless its flesh was injured. It would take a fall not just a knock over to cause damage like that. But is not injured and your water perimeters are in check it may just be a wait. Mine fall over often, sometimes fall 4" to sand bed. Fish knock them over. They normally open in s few hours.

When you say it does not want to open, is it completely receded or is it just not as open as usual? IME it is just a waiting game if water parameters are in check.

Thanks..water parameters are good. It fell about about 6" and landed on live rock but not on its head on the stalk. It is completely receded. I've since glued to the position it was in prior. Hopefully it will come back.

Hammers are hard. They only last like 6 months in my tanks. I have had 4 and I guess no more

To me that looks pretty dead, wait for a couple others to voice their opinions though. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry you tell you but it is a goner. However, don't toss it out just yet, sometimes (not always), they may generate a baby head right underneath where the dead one is (happened to my frogspawn). But I doubt this has to do with it being knocked over. By Klak I assume you mean Calcium? 350 is rather low, also, you should consider raising your salinity a bit higher too. Stores like to keep them at .023 to save salt, but most serious reefer keep it higher, closer to the actual salinity of the reef environment.
