    Monster Mash Growth

I just wanted to start a thread to chronicle the growth of this chalice. It's a notoriously slow grower, but I'm pretty happy to see how it's doing in my tank.

Here is a pic from the thread where the frag was purchased from Jan 2010.

This picture was taken in Oct. 1, 2011 shortly after I acquired it.

This was taken today. I didn't realize how much it's grown until I compared the 2. It's still on the same plug.

Nice growth.....my frag never grew and slowly wilted away......next time, I will only purchase a MM frag if it is decent size.......

Mine did awesome until I fragged it. Now it has stalemated for the last two years, and has only popped one additional eye since then.

    Scares me to frag it!

I'll try eventually and see how it does.

Wow SD, that's one of the bigger pieces I've seen. Looks like it's happy in your tank, have you fragged yours before? I almost cut mine a few weeks ago, glad I didn't.

I have not, but the guy I got mine from would always have quite a bit of recession after cutting his (both frag and MC).

It sucks, lost several high end chalices and SPS. Something happened in my temp tank and I lost about 80% of everything I had.

Congrats, it's a great piece that's hard to come by. I guess that's why I'm so ****** about it, between it, my Mr. Pacman acro, Blue Flame Acro and Melting pot, I still wanna cry.
