Curious what kind of lighting you acan keepers are running! Vote and provide comments!

I'm running 2 x EcoTech Radion's myself and have been having less than stellar results.

I use LED but I notice they seem to change color after a while. Kinda dull, I may need to add UV LED's to make them "tan" so to speak

T5's always worked best for me...when I ran LED's they never held good true color...but LED's always make LPS look awesome at first till they start to bleach them out...I love my T5's but wouldn't mind to have the option to turn on some LED's once and a while and watch the colors pop.

you think adding a couple of bars of T5 would help a lot? My latest LED's I had 6500k and 20000k whites installed as well as a few orange (which turned out to be red) anf a couple violets added to bring in more spectrum. It's only been about 3 weeks and too early to note anything significant.

I only have one acan, but it's a colony and I've had it for 3+ years now. It's always been under T5 and has done extremely well and has held it's exact color since I first purchased it as a small 2 head frag.

I think the issue with LEDs might be intensity, I suspect you have to dial they a lot farther back than you realize, especially for LPS.

I run T5's and blue LED's to supplement. I have the fatest, puffiest Acans all the time.

I have been running a DIY Led for about 2 months now over a acan, chalice and zoa tank, i have noticed that some of the acans are doing well some don't have as much color but i am def getting new colors out of them, i run, RB, B, Cyan, WW, NW, and CW on my LEDS, i have been thinking of putting some T5's in there to balance out some light i am missing but that is for another day, but i don have good color so far.

I have approx. 10 frags or so in my FT under AI sol blues and have not noticed any changes in the color of the acans. Have been in the FT for about 2-3 months now, but ill let you all judge the color...(please forgive poor picture quality)
