the base on the mystic sunset is pink, especially under high lighting.

I've had the mystic sunset for years and depending on lighting and other conditions it has been everything from pink to red to orange and even brown once or twice with blue to purple polyps

mines deep red with blue polyps but its in low light next week when i redo my rock work im gonna move it up higher so maybe it will get a light red/pink color like when i bought it

I think you should have to post a picture to view the pole... Would make for a fun thread. Mine is more of a deeper reddish orange with purple-y blue polyps.

I think you get the pink when your on the verge of too much light and its beginning to wash out.

i would have to agree! red base w blue polyps, infrared base on new growth.
