Decided it was time to finally start a build thread on my new tank. I wanted to stay under 150g, but my wife talked me into going with a 200g 64"x30"x24" Planet Aquariums tank instead.

Bill Brown with Custom Reef Creations seriously helped me out on this process. This is my first large reef, and there is a lot I wouldn't have thought of without Bills help. Stock list will be mostly sps with a few zoas and maybe something that moves to entertain the people that don't know. I'm going to try to have as few fish as my wife allows. Achilles tang and my new wyoming whites are definitely on the list though.

I get my custom sump tomorrow, very excited about this. It will be plumbed into a pantry directly behind the tank with a salt mixing station and frag tank under the DT.

My man cave : )

A good sized refugium, oversized skimmer, and bio pellets will be used for nutrient export. Possibly gfo if need arises. The lights will be a DIY T5/led hybrid.

I wish my wife would talk me into a tank that size...

It didn't take much convincing. It's funny though, I brought home a 24g aqua pod years ago, and she pitched a fit about it. Hated the thing, but now buys more coral than I do and she does water changes.
