Ordered my 300G three sided starphire 96"X24"X30". Will be moving my crowded 180g display, my 95G frag tank , and 30G refugium that houses a breeding pair of Bengai Cardinals together. Lighting will be 4 X Radion Pro Gen 3. Flow will be 2 X MP40 and a MP60. I have pretty much finished building my stand and just waiting for the tank to arrive. I am pretty much going to cram everything in there besides the fuge. That will go to the sump at the bottom.

Nice stand!

This should be interesting...You have a ton of corals in that 180 to try and not break by accident.
I love the setup and can't wait to see the progress as you go.

Made some progress. The cut out for the overflow and return pipes are done on the far left of the tank stand. Just finished the hanging light canopy. It will house 4 Radion Pros Gen 3. The Radions will sit on right angle aluminum stock railings that can be moved front to back and side to side. Only waiting for the tank to arrive.

Nice, is there any extra work in breeding the cardinals or just let it take it's course? Also like ur jeep. Thats my 2nd hobby (off roading) but saltwater really handcuffs me spending money on my jeep. Lol

Yup "wheelin" is lots of fun. I think spending money on the Jeep is a lot less than reefing. LOL.

The additional toys for the tank. The closed cell foam arrived today and made my cut out trimmings.

I have the same question on the cardinals. Do they just keep having babies and they are surviving?? are those babies in the picture? Your build looks fantastic. You have some beautiful corals and fish to go in the new tank. Keep the updates coming!

I watch for the male when the face have a bulge. Like a bulldog look. That means it's holding eggs in its mouth. Approximately count 28 days before he spits the fry out. Before the fry gets spit out, I transfer the male in a plastic breeding container and let nature takes its course. Hatch some baby brine shrimp to feed the new fishies.

The pictures above is the second batch. The first batch I didn't notice. It was my daughter who saw them in the refugium. Too late to get them separated, so I left them in there. Spotted three then they just disappeared but after the second batch came two showed up from the first batch alive and well. They somehow managed to survive on their own. When I notice the male have a bulldog like look face I count 28 days till the fry get released. So a few days prior to the 28th day the male gets transferred to a plastic breeding container. Then just wait till he spits all the fry out of its mouth. The second batch took 3 days before all 20 fry were released. Meanwhile I hatch baby brine shrimp for the new fry to eat. Unfortunately I've been busy and neglected to feed constantly. There are only 3 fry left from the second batch but the two from the first are alive and well. A breeding pair can start breeding again as early as 5 days after the fry are released.

Just finalized the overflow dimensions and placement a few days ago. LeeMar started to work on the tank. It should be here soon though. Umm, too move it well. My plan is for the delivery truck to just place it in my garage. Then I need to get a few guys to get it in the house. The move will be on flat ground so it shouldn't be too difficult.

you are going to love the g3's I have the same on my 300
I have two on my 180G for a month. Too early to tell. Some of my montipora and two acro colony are not as vibrant compared when 2X400W MH Radiums that were used before. Only bleached one millie colony. Most to the other corals are holding color and growing.
