Cornel's 187 mixed reef

The tank is a Leemar 187 gallon three sided starfire with a corner overflow. It has been in operation for 2 years and was an upgrade from my 120 gallon tank. (My wife is very tolerant) My main pump is a Waveline DC10000, which feeds the return, chiller and two reactors through a manifold. Protein skimmer is an Alpha 200....... well worth the extra pennies. Started out with two MP40s two years ago and have added 2 tunze 6105s 6months ago. It had to happen with too much SPS and not enough flow. Also, have 2 seaswirls, that I really don't need when, i added the 6105s. Lighting has been recently upgraded to a 48 inch ATI led power module from 2 60 inch reefbrites and 6*80 watt T5s. The fixture is brighter and puts out about 50 watts more. Took two years to save for that baby. My sump is about 60 gallons and has three compartments. Protein skimmer on left with two 1 1/2 drains, one of which Ts off and feeds the refugium on the right. The center has the return to the manifold, along with a maxijet 1200 that feeds a Geo 16 calcium reactor. A few other accessories are a glass tank with an osmolator to top off that holds 8 gallons of water. When I first ordered it at the LFS, they laughed at my ant farm top off tank, now the sell them on a regular basis. Also use a CO2 scrubber that gets outside air which keeps the ph higher. The last piece of equipment that is a must is my Apex, it has saved my tank multiple times. Here is a tank shoot. I will post more soon.

The bulb combo is 4 giesman actinic+ on the outside with 2 pink and 2 lagoon blues on the inside. The color is warm(pleasing) to my eyes. And I've used Rowa forever. It help a lot, because my tank is overstocked, but who can say no to this which has be in the tank two weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed.
