This is a project I have been working on for over 6 months. Totally different theme for a reef aquarium but one that works well since tank is going into a Marina/Restaurant. Hostess stand will be a bow and the tank will sit on a transom. In between the bow and transom will be a full sushi bar with a 90inch TV as the back drop. Tank will actually be behind the transom set on top of a 3/8th thick 3x3 steel frame total weight 975lbs. Should have no problem holding tank up. Tank is 3/4 Starphire glass all the way around. Equipment--Lighting will be 6 Hydra 52s, 4 MP Ecotech MP 60 with battery backup, Royal Exclusiv dream box sump with a Supermarin 250, Royal Exclusiv carbon reactor and a Biopellet reactor along with Royal water box. Aqua UV 80watt, Trade wind chiller, Reef Flo Hammer Head pump, along with full Apex Controller, other equipment aswell. All rock is from Real Reef 650lbs!! 450lbs of Fiji Pink Sand. Enjoy the pictures as tank is currently being built.

Boat sections where built by Jarrett Bay Boatworks. A premier builder of custom sport fishing boats, I choose to drive up to NC to pick everything up in person. Glad i did got the full tour of facility boats built by Jarrett Bay are Top Notch. One boat in particular is always docked at the marina where tank is being built so they should match up nicely.

Tank is located at Sailfish Marina
98 Lake Dr, West Palm Beach, FL 33404

If you notice the exhaust ports at the bottom..Iam working on a fog system using dry ice that will simulate "smoke".

Royal Exclusiv does the nicest work I have ever ever seen. Sure it cost too much, but the get what you pay for saying goes real far with royal.
I had everything built and shipped from germany

Added my own little touches with the Apex controller attached to the sump. Not worried about water since every compartment has lids and the edge has a nice lip. Wire from controller was wrapped around the side and top then ran around the upper edge of sump using clear silicone.

Livestock list is huge to say the least with plenty of corals of all kinds. Added a number of Caribbean fish species to keep with the location of marina. But only a small number of Caribbean since I prefer Pacific. I will post final livestock when it comes in..Using plenty of Real Reef Rock..lots of XXL pieces along with plate rock and a number of branch pieces.
Still have a ways to go on build should be done by the end of next week.

Very nice-cant wait to see this thing wet and stocked!

I have to assume the budget for this project is the same as the name of the boat

That sump is something else :after_boom:

I will take better pictures with the nikon when tank is completed. For now since busy working I have just been using the phone.
Worked on the electrical today,,Chiller is located in a stainless cabinet next to the tank. Stainless cabinet has vented doors to allow more air flow also all electrical is located with chiller to avoid any moisture.
Nice thing since I do most the work at night since restaurant is open all day I can sneak out on boat for some fishing.

Reefnjunkie I wouldnt say Blank Check build. But you could buy a nice boat for what I paid to have bow and transom built. Quality work is what I do. Sure I could have gotten any wood craftsman to build it but it would not be close to what I ended up with. The way I see it if you want to build a reef tank to look like a boat get a boat builder to build the boat.
The Blank Check boat was getting work done so I got the tour inside and out. Now its parked back at the marina where the tank is being built.
