- 790G DT
-178G Sump
- Deltec Skimmer
- Bio pullet Reactor
- PhosBan Reactor
- Return Pump
- lighting: 4 MH (400 W each & 4 T5)
- 4 wave makers

My current Parameters:
- Temp: 25.6-26.5 oC (78.08 - 79.7 F)
- Ph: 8.34
- Salinity: 1.026
- Ammonia: 0
- Nitrite: 0
- Nitrate: 10
- Phosphate: 0.75 PPm (Very High)

I will guide you, but i need to translate all my dutch topic one by one and post them on r2r.
I will take some time because i am a busy bee....
Please be patience and try one step at the time and avoid multiple questions, because it makes it hard to reply instantly.

Thanks Glennf
I would appreciate if you can also mention the brand (such as Kent, or Seachem, etc.) in order to make my life easy [emoji1]

I can't because i don't know their composition.
I have contacts with raw material distributors who provide me with tech and msds sheets for the product which use.
Only the pure raw 2/3 part stuff can be used. Nu combined and balanced products. Because in dsr all parameters are controlled individually.
There is no sense to share this information, because distributor don't supply small quantities to consumers.
To get started you need to obtain the proper base material. Later when you are familiar you can decide to source alternative way/materials.

KH+ = Sodiumbicarbonate
Ca+ = CaCl2 Dihydrate
Mg+ = MgCl2 Hexahydrate
MgSO4 = Magnesium sulphate.
These should be easy to obtained at your local fish store. Thee are also being used for balling classic. The only issue could be purity of the

Other stuff are less easy to obtain. That is why I made all the stuff available Through the dutch LFS please contact one of them, because i don't do any sales. I only develop, improve and support my method for future reference.

To work with the DSR method i composed a starterkit. This is a maintenance toolset which contain solutions to all problems i ever encountered working this way.

For you size of tank it would be a DSR500 kit.

Www.seaflower.nl has an english supported site and you can mail dennis or erik at [email protected] to help you decide further.

I keep a short line with them, because they believed 100% in my method from the start . Their prive tanks and commercial coral sales tanks are running with my method.
Beside seaflower, I also guide a few other LFS here in holland to apply the DSR method on their showtank and sales tanks. This help them cope with new coral shipments and nutrients control.

When you're ready to start, i will guide you and laid the path for the full english version of the DSR method.

I have not seen DSR500, the only available kit is DSR 132!!
How long DSR500 can stay with me before finish?

Update
Finally my shipment has arrived [emoji1]

Now you are ready to start.
Start measuring the parameters and put them in in the calculator. Take it easy. You may even do them one at the time. No need to do all in one day.

Because my parameters are stable now
I myself prefer this:
- Monitor ph daily (ph controller)
- salinity, KH, Ca, PO4 weekly. (Easy tests)
- K, B once every 2-4 weeks (depends on how stable they are)
- Mg, Sr, I, NO3 once every 2-3 weeks (depends on how stable they are)
- Fe test intervals depend on your Fe dosing. It is used to monitor Iron buildup due to lack of PO4 to prevent overdosing of iron.
So don't try to make iron measurable, but use it to prevent iron overdose.
When daily dosing Fe+ 0,15ppm measure weekly. As long as there is PO4 present it won't build up. When dosing 0,02ppm/d measure 2-3 weekly.

I preferably not to do al test on the same day, because i get bored easily;).
Look what work best for you. Sometimes you can combine them to save time when you are waiting for the result from other tests.
