I recently purchased my first home and I can finally have my dream tank/room. I picked up this 180g marine land tank a couple weeks ago when it went on sale. But since then it's been sitting on the floor waiting to be put in the wall.

But first... The reconstruction. We had to take down the existing walls, remove a toilet, sink and a shower. Frame in where the tank will sit, run some new electrical boxes, then drywalled the outside of the wall so we could start the construction in the utility/filtration room.

Once the walls were up we could jack up the floor to relocate the toilet/ waste line. Once we had the pipe where we wanted it, we cemented it in place

Looks like a tight fit for your toilet, when you come out 2ft with your stand.

Yeah it'll be a tight fit. Still about 3' of room between corner of the tank and the wall. I should be fine [emoji120][emoji51]

Stand is built, drain is in place, and tank is in the wall. Gonna do a leak check tonight.

This RO/DI water making is taking forever.... Some water and rock is in the tank now, 50g sump will be purchased tomorrow. Unfortunately I don't think the tank will be ready for the transfer by tomorrow, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. (Our lease is up at the end of the month at my previous place where my 125 sits). So I'll be setting up two holding tanks for my coral. The fish I believe will be fine to add in.

Well after a long day of moving my old 125 over to the new 180 I think I've manage to make several frags in the process. I have a 40g breeder set up for a holding tank for most of the thought after Lps and all my Sps. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll have enough water made to fill the rest of the tank and sump.

She up and running! All corals and fish are in, apex is set up and running, NO leaks! One of the last things I need to do is to hang the lights. And obviously finish the walls of the down stairs...

Sorry for the cell phone pics. As soon as my Mac is up and running I'll have some good pictures to show. Otherwise any questions or close up pics feel free to ask.

Love that its on an angled wall, great view no matter where you are in the room. One day I hope to do a tank like this, cant wait to see this all framed up!

Thanks! And yes, the tank being on that wall made the man cave. Plus with the utility room behind it, I can do all my work in the back without having to worry about spills and what not. Makes water changes a lot easier as well.

I've been dreaming of having a setup like is now for years but was unable due to living in a town house.
