I figured this one would go out to the folks who bought a retail fixture or planning to buy a retail fixture. Post up your tank size!

The survey is PER Fixture! not total :)

I got Apollo Reef Lights, the non dimmable ones he no longer sells.

+1 Two non-dimmable Apollos for me as well....over a 90 g custom five foot tank. I'm happy!

I dropped $1350 on two radion's for my 180 standard. I should add another. I do have a slight dead spot inbetween the two units

I'm glad I'm handy enough for DIY, spending $450 to light my tank is preferable to spending $1200+ to get inferior light.

I have $220 invested so far for the 2 lights, the 3 will cost me around $270-$280

I bought a 48"x 11 1/2" heatsink from an air conditioning unit and cut it into 3-16" pieces $90, (price went to $140 the day after I bought it)
led= 40- royal blue, 10- blue, 30- 14k $86,
75v drivers cost $7 each, quick silver thermal adhesive $6, wire $8

I still have to order the led to finish my last light, another $43 for the led and $14 for drivers

i have 2 Kessil 350 and a 400 MH radium over my 45 gallon shallow....cocted me 900 for the total setup.

Sam.

This setup sounds sick, i bet you get amazing color with that combo.

I have a single kessil 350W over a 20long.

I brought a used a 4 t5 fixture for 100 including ATI bulbs for my 20 gallon high. I then replace it with a razor after 3 months. Really didn't like the t5 (no shimmer). I love the Razor, total cost 500 dollars.

I have been looking at GHL MITRAS LEDS. $1200 a piece fully dimmable. But they just released so still up in the air on getting them. Waiting to see how they do in public not on paper. Lol

2 of these fixtures over a 120 (four foot) and I have no problems growing any corals. Spent $250 a piece last year on Black Friday.

LED Lights

Mine are not dimmable though...
