Hello guys,

I have a 29 gallon tank with about 30 pounds of live rock and 20 pounds of live sand. It has been cycled for about a month now and it has a clown fish and a springer dotty back, and some corals. However, in the past week I have seem some brown algae pop up, it does not look like diatoms, although I am new. It is long and wavy and ferns out at the top. Is it bryopsis? or some thing else?

Thanks.

It looks green now, but when the led lights are on it's brown. IDK if that makes a difference.

it looks like hair algae to me......bryopsis tends to be a little stockier (not sure that's the best word) and brownish in color - yours looks to be pretty green
