Algae problem

Can anyone I'd this algae and give some pointers on how to get rid of it? It's almost black in color and lays on top of the rock and coral like a sheet.

Sounds like Cyano Bacteria.
Wisp it away with your hand, or use a powerhead to blow it off.

Can you post some pics? Most all algae's are caused by excess nutrients. Have you tested your phosphates and nitrates? Are you using rodi water? Over feeding cause most of these algae's to flourish.

Sorry it's not letting me post the pics from my iPad. I turn my MH light of for two days now and only running my blue antinics hopefully this will help till I can beef up my cleaner crew.

Won't help much, ya gotta go total lights out for 72 hours, using no light.
