Red algae I believe?

Ok I have a growth in my tank it's small but just noticed it. I believe it's red algae but hopefully it's not. lol can you guys id this for me?

Looks like cyano bacteria.

Is that good or bad or just a pest that u don't benefit from nor harmful?

I had a really bad out break of it a couple weeks back. Start dosing microbactor7 and it will go away slowly.

Also when you dose the bacteria if you cut back on your lighting about half way. It multiplies the affect. If you have LEDs you don't have to cut the blues back as far just the whites. Whites are to cyano as gasoline is to fire.

This is soooo freaking true!! I used Bio-Pronto. Didn't turn my whites down. 19wks later an my SB is just now starting to clear up. Wish I'd have know this lil bit-o info before hand-lol. Not Cyano but some funky type algae/diatom crap.

Maybe they're seeing something I'm not. Looks like coralline to me. Is it easily removed from the rock? If not then it's not cyano.
