What kind of algae is this. I had cyano but it seems to keep changing colors. I've had red green red again and this one seems brown. I thought this was diatoms but now it's getting strands and kind of slimey.

I would say cyano, if you see bubbles forming on the slime. Could be dinoflagellets.

There are some. Maybe it's a combo of both. Maybe the cyano is turning into dinos again. It has a very rust color. It almost covers like a mold. I'm pretty sure this kind of disappears at night and comes back during the day so I'm starting to think it's dinos maybe a different strand than the last time

Cyanobacteria come in many colors. What you are describing by saying it almost goes away at night almost confirms to me that it is cyano. Cyano has a cycle, it is photosynthetic. It grows during lights on period for the first 4 - 5 hours at which time in starts to multiply. You can't see this with the naked eye, but the next day there will be more. So, the best way to get rid of it is to syphon it out in the middle of the light cycle. This way you suck out the cyano, the detritus that it is feeding off of under it, and you get it before it reproduces. If your vigilant at this you can eliminate it in a week or so.

This changes colors about as often as I change my underwear. It's red again.

I think I got this to die back alot. I sucked the top layers out and it helped alot. I think it tries to come back a little but it's not bad.
