I registered years ago but this is my first post. I am in the process of setting up an 8.7 gallon nano reef which is my first reef tank. I kept freshwater for years but I have been out of the hobby for a while due to school. Here is a picture of the tank so far:

It's not much to look at right now. The live sand should be arriving today and I will be picking up some live rock this weekend. I will start a build thread for it soon.

I would like to keep a pair of clownfish and, if possible a pistol shrimp/goby. For corals I will start with zoas and other softies and eventually get some LPS and SPS. Maybe even a maxima clam but I don't want it to be too crowded.
