I'm having issues with algae blooms and a little red slime. My 12 bulb t5 bulbs were a year old do too no funds to replace just replaced 2 weeks ago with tax return. My Anemone definitely showing his appreciation for the bulbs lol. I also just added a new external skimmer and turned my sump into a refugium with cheato and split leaf calpera. 220 gal softie reef dreaming of LPS and sps.

*Welcome to Reef2Reef, mckinleyw !* I would try to blast of the red slime with a turkey baster and them siphon it out right away. You could also test your water to see if more frequent water changes are needed.A good local pet store may offer water testing for free, just call around!
