I'm excited to be starting this new build. It is an upgrade from an 85 gallon bowfront to a 4x2x2 120 gallon Oceanic Tech Tank with Starphire glass and eurobracing.

I bought a house a couple of weeks ago, so the upgrade is going to happen when I move. Crazy planning but life wouldnt be fun with out a challenge...right???:p

The plan is to keep my existing sump for now and the only equipment I am changing is the lighting, the return pump, and a new stand. I am also planning on doing a much more minimal scape this time and be very selective on my corals.

Tank Specs:
4x2x2 120 Gallon Oceanic Tech Tank
Geismann Spectra fixture w 2 SE 400W Radiums and 4 54w ATI T5's-2 blue+2 purple+
2 MP40's
SWC 230 Cone Skimmer
Dosing BRS 2 Part with BRS 1.1ml dosing pumps
Running ecoBak pellets in an Avast MR5 Reactor
Running rox carbon in a Synergy Reef Reactor
Tunze Osmolator ATO
Speedwave 10000 DC controllable Return pump
Neptune APEX Controller

Some pics of the light and stand.

I have a lot more to do at the new house before we actually move in next weekend and then the tank breakdown and transfer will follow a week after the furniture....So stay tuned!

Must be something in the water because you are the 5th person(myself included) to have bought a house and upgraded to a 4x2x2 120g! Good luck with the move and upgrade ill be following along!

I plan on using 2 blue plus and 2 purple plus

You'll have to get your tank a housewarming gift! hehehe

HAHA...My wife said a nice clam would be her housewarming gift to the tank. I'm cool with that!

Weird! I have been wanting this size tank for a while and really dont plan on ever going bigger. Maybe 1 more foot deeper front to back...

Gonna be a great build following along also

Thanks man!

It really is going to be interesting to see how everything transfers over from my existing tank.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

I am working this weekend to get the tile floor put down in the tank room. I am going to put the sump under the tank temporarily and once we get settled in from the move I am going to plumb everything thru the wall out into the garage and tie in a frag tank to the system. Really looking forward to having a dedicated fish room!

I glue animals to rocks...
