So I don’t really post on here much. I creep the forums everyday and generally just browse. So here’s a little about myself. I started back in 2009 with a 24g aquapod. A few years later I switched to an IM Nuvo 30. I’ve been through all kinds of equipment trying to figure out what I like. Currently I run an AI Sol over my nuvo with multiple MP10s throughout. I just graduated college (Environmental, Soil and Water Science) and my wife and I bought a new house. I decided I’m finally going to build a bigger tank that I’ve always wanted. So here it is. I had a 180 I was setting up but it wasn’t going to fit properly in our new house so I had some parts I had acquired for it that I can use on this tank.

Here is my plan for the tank.

93g Marineland Rimless Cube - Bought
16" Ghost Overflow (Cannot find one) or Herbie Drain with a 6x6 corner overflow.
30" Trigger Systems Elite Sump
2 MP40s for the sides - Bought
1 MP10 on the back wall - Bought

Aquamaxx EM200 Skimmer (Cannot find one) or RLSS R6i
1 Radion Pro Gen 3

Jaebo DC6000 for the return pump
Reef Keeper Controller - Bought
Tunze Osmolator top off - Bought
Aquamaxx Biomaxx Biopellet reactor
Carbon Reactor
Caribsea Pink Fiji Sand - Bought

I will keep this thread going with updates and equipment arrivals.

I design stuff for a living so I decided to draw up my stand. Here are the plans I made. One of my good friends works at a cabinet shop so he will be supplying 9/16†birch for finishing the stand. He will also be making my cabinet doors. I wanted them to match the cabinets in my house. He will be using dado joints with a ¼†insert to make them. My tank will be recessed into my stand 2â€. There will be a 3†wide ledge on either side and a 2†deep lip on the front.

Since I cannot find a ghost overflow and I haven’t been able to contact them, I’m thinking of ditching the idea and running a herbie drain in the back left corner. This side of the tank will be against the wall and the pipes will not be visible. I can then drill the bottom of the tank and go through my stand straight to the sump with the plumbing giving a very clean appearance.

Here is where I am at right now. I have the stand constructed (not finished obviously) and I picked up the tank earlier this week. I plan to paint this with oil based kilz and silicone the seams. I will leave the sump area white, and I will be staining the outside of the stand.

Have you gotten your jebao dc6000? I am interested in getting one and am curious about the outlet size on those pumps.

Check out fish street. They have some info on their site. It's in broken English but I think you could find out.

I love that tank size. I don't know much about the trigger systems sumps but I have a protein skimmer built by them and its top notch.

^^ I was wondering how their skimmers were. I might look at it.

I have not ordered the skimmer yet. I ordered the sump last week. I will be posting pictures when it comes in.

Thanks Rev. I've had a tank long enough to know exactly what I want in a new build so I decided to finally do it.

They told me they stopped manufacturing the skimmers a while back for a number of reasons(exact words) and need to update there site, That was about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I should look elsewhere then. I loved the skimmer but I've read bad things about the customer service. I was going to order it through a local shop here.

Premium Aquatics has a 20% off coupon for Waveline DC pumps so I went ahead and took advantage of that. My waveline DC6000 should be shipped out today.
