Hey everyone,

Like the title says this will be my tank build/thread for a 105G Rimless tank and my 45G frag tank. I've been blessed with being able to buy my first home just this month and after spending the last 3 weeks finishing my tax season/painting and building furniture. I am finally able to get back to it. I prev had a 75G reef which was broken down and livestock moved to my parents house. The frag tank has been up and running will be mainly for Zoas and the 105G is going to be a slow build unfortunately. I still need a stand, planning a metal stand but don't know where to start with that yet. Well on to pictures....

I finally got a chance to install the BRS RO/DI under the sink. I used Inkedsparkster's install as reference. I'm debating on actually drilling the pipe for the waste line.

Nice set up. I'm new to the salt water seen so excuse me if I'm way off but would a dishwasher WYE pipe work for the waste line? Under $4 at Home Depot.

That's a good idea, I'm sure it would work as long as you can find an adaptor for the drain line.

The brs comes with a brack that installs onto the drain by drilling a 1/4 hole. I was just hesitant to do since am by no means a plumber lol. Only a simple accountant here haha. But I'll def be checking out that part at HD. Thanks scuba

Yep, trying to get the drain line to connect to the WYE would be the only hurdle. Usually with a dishwasher you just use a hose clamp but the hose is much larger. I was just checking out Inkedsparkster's build and I see where he tapped in. Doesn't look difficult. Just make sure you do it above the waterline of the p-trap. In your case it would be easy to tap in to the short pvc extension pipe above the p-trap.

I'm just an almost 40 year old drafter (engineering technician) trying to learn about salt water tanks. Not a plumber but have done many plumbing jobs with owning a house for 15+ years. PVC is easy and cheap to replace if you mess up. I really like your RODI set up as I have a basement bathroom vanity which is very similar that I could use.

Good luck with your build.
